Happy Wednesday, friends! As we wrap up our time in Ninh Binh and prepare to head onward to Hanoi, I can’t think of a better way to close this chapter than with a visit to one of the most enchanting spots in the region: the Bich Dong Pagoda.
Nestled near the quiet village of Tam Coc, this ancient tiered pagoda feels like something out of a dream. Built right into the side of a mountain, the structure seems to belong as much to the earth as it does to the sky. Surrounded by lush greenery, serene waters, and the soft hum of nature, the pagoda radiates tranquility. It’s made up of three levels, each connected by winding stone steps and hidden caves, offering breathtaking views the higher you climb. Standing there, with the limestone peaks stretching endlessly in the background, I couldn’t help but feel like time slowed down for just a moment.
A Journey Across Vietnam
This trip has taken us through so many corners of Vietnam—bustling Saigon, peaceful Sapa, the magical landscapes of Ninh Binh, and soon the lively streets of Hanoi. Each stop has brought its own rhythm, its own charm, and its own set of memories. Yet through it all, one little travel companion has been a constant: my lilac Senreve Mini Maestra bag.
My Trusty Travel Companion
When I say this bag has carried my entire life on this trip, I’m not exaggerating. It’s the only handbag I packed, and it’s more than lived up to the challenge. Made from 100% full-grain Italian leather, the Mini Maestra strikes the perfect balance of minimalism and function. Its sleek design makes it easy to style with everything, but what I love most is its thoughtfully compartmentalized interior. Somehow, it manages to fit all the essentials—my passport, water bottle, makeup pouch, sunglasses, wallet, phone, keys, and even a few small extras—without ever feeling bulky.
The versatility is another reason it hasn’t left my side. Most of the time, I’ve worn it as a backpack, especially while navigating airports, train stations, and the bustling streets of Vietnam. With all of my travel documents tucked inside, I feel secure knowing there’s a full zipper closure plus a flap for added protection.
And durability? This little bag has faced it all—humid days, tropical thunderstorms, and the inevitable wear-and-tear of travel—and still looks as pristine as the day I unboxed it. Scratch-resistant, structured, and surprisingly resilient, it’s become my ultimate travel essential. And can we talk about this lilac shade? It’s such a soft, joyful color for spring and summer, adding the perfect touch of whimsy to every outfit.
A Sweet Goodbye to Ninh Binh
Standing at Bich Dong Pagoda, surrounded by centuries-old stone and vibrant greenery, I was reminded once again of how travel invites us to slow down, to appreciate beauty in its quietest forms. Ninh Binh has been a place of contrasts for me—heat and stillness, exhaustion and awe, challenges and breathtaking rewards. Saying goodbye isn’t easy, but places like this never really leave you. They stay tucked in your heart, giving you reasons to come back.
As we journey next to Hanoi, I’m carrying with me not only my little lilac Maestra bag but also the peace and inspiration that Bich Dong Pagoda left behind.
Thank you so much for following along on this Vietnam adventure, and a special thanks to Senreve for partnering on this post. I hope you’ve enjoyed these glimpses into the beauty of Ninh Binh, the styling along the way, and the moments in between that made this trip unforgettable.
Until the next chapter—Hanoi, here we come!
